I now own a stunning asscher: here are the specs
(may be a little off square for someone, but the stone spoke to me and begged me to bring her home)

GIA
6.41x6.02x4.11
1.29 ct
d=38.3
t=6.3
g= thin to medium
c= none
P= g
S= g
Clarity VVS2
Color H

I am coming into the good fortune of two asschers that were to be used for studs. Their TW is 1.3 and their color is L/M (not graded, but from a reputable jeweler)

Would you put these together in a 3 stone ring? Would you enjoy their color difference or would it bother you?

Hi HoneyDoll:

Congratulations on your new Diamond. Asschers are beautiful and have a distinct "look" about them. In regards to being able to discern the color difference between the Center stone (H) and these 2 in the (L/M) range: I think there would be nothing wrong with setting these 2 lower diamonds to accent the center even though they are 4-5 grades down the color scale. Some people refer to these color grades as having a "Warmth" to them. If you have these stones or when you get them, set them up in the same configuration you would as you would have them set in a ring and see if you like how they look together. Obviously it will be a personal choice and I think it's a novel idea..

It might be interesting to see the side stones set in yellow gold to enhance the contrast. Kinda like they usually do with canary stones set with white ones. Could be a very cool look!

I wouldn''t do it if it were me because they will probably be noticably tinted next to the center stone. I''d consider using them for earrings since they''d be far from the e-ring diamond.

put em next to each other and see if ya like em.
It wouldnt be something id do but you may love it.
Congrates!

I''m with Strm here...put ''em next to one another and view them in a few different lighting conditions. If you like the look, go for it! The color differences would bother me, but you might like them.

I received them today.. and though they are beautifully cut stones, I think they would be best set as earrings.
Not only for the color difference in them from my H asscher, but because their tables are so much larger than my stone.
Thank you all who replied (and read) my message.
Chris

They''re going to be beautiful--can''t wait for ear pics!

Be sure to post a pic when you are done!
