Color in WG or Platinum

What is the lowest color that I should purchase if I plan to have it set in WG or Platinum? I''ve heard that H is the lowest, because I''s may have a yellowish tint that would be magnified in those ring metals. Is this crazy talk, or something to follow?

you could put a Z in platinum. You''d have a yellow stone in a white setting. Sounds lovely if you like yellow stones. I think rules about what color to put in plat are passe. People put K''s and L''s in plat. No big deal.

PSers have put I''s, J''s, and K''s in platinum....
