color and clarity for .65 - .75 carat stone.

I have a realy hard time choosing the color and clarity for my diamond. I will be ordering from Blue nile since all taxes will be included and returns are easy. I will purchase a stone in the ideal cut range (preferably tic range) and i realy prefer platinum for the setting but that also makes the budget for the stone smaller.

I have some 1.10 cttw OEC studs that are quite yellow to me and i would prefer a higher color but i don't know what color they are and seeing stones in stores here is realy hard since most stores use special lighting and most sell stones that are non ideal cuts. I have watched a million photos online and videos but i am still undicided about color. I see color quite easily and i think most J's look a little yellow but most i've seen are larger in size. I also don't like realy ici stones, from what i've seen i liked G the best.

My budget for the stone is 1700 euro's. I would like a stone that looks clean up close and a stone that looks quite white but not icy like D,E. I can go for a ,65 H,VS2 or lower to go up in size. Any advice for me?

You are completely safe with H VS2. Many here have gone with I color to get a larger stone. I have seen I color stones that look like an H and a couple that were a little tinted. But I think you are pretty safe with I color in an ideal cut stone. If you could get an I color with some fluorescence, that would be ideal as it usually makes the stone appear a little whiter. I prefer VS clarity but many here go with SI1 to get more size. The risk is that the stone might not be eyeclean enough for you and you might have to return it and start over. I personally would rather go with VS not to have that hassle.
