Clueless guy needs help finding Harry Winston duplicate

Ok, great! Makes sense to me now. I know she loves tiny thin bands so now I know what to ask for. As well as for the halo and shank. When I talked to ERD on the phone they also mentioned that the diamonds would stop at approx. 5'oclock and 7'oclock on the band. Leaving room between in the chance that it may need to be resized. Here's a question that will be simple to answer, but I honestly don't know the answer...Is resizing a ring like this an easy/simple process? I'm asking because if I follow through with ERD and by chance it needs to be resized from a 7 to 7.5 or 6.5 I'll have to take it to another jeweler here in Korea. And approx. how much does it cost to have a ring resized (on average, in the states)? I'm 95% confident she's a size 7, but I just want to be prepared just in case I'm off. I'm getting So excited about this and I am so thankful I stumbled upon this forum.

Your absolute best bet is to see the pictures of the HW style rings that ERD has made and tell them which you like best. That way they know what to make and you don't have to worry about the minute details!

You don't want that shank (band) to be smaller than 1.8-2mm or you'll be asking for problems. And correct, you do not put diamonds all the way around the bottom of the shank. It is going to be best for ERD to do any sizing in case it loosens any of the pave stones on the shank.

I am glad you are working with them on a stone and the setting. That is by far the smartest way to do it whenever possible, and especially when you are out of the country!

With pave resizing is possible but it's best to not tempt fate and to make sure you get the size completely right the first time. Pave can be sized, but the less sizing the better. Handforged is ussually a better bet for sizing than CAD.

Get her a cheap ring in a size 7 and see how it fits. Just a small silver ring.

She's right!

Btw, i'm working with Chris and ERD too! They're super great to work with... fear not

Amazing. Thanks again everyone. I just contacted them and I'm going to go ahead and narrow down the specifics so ERD and I can start designing a ring together. I'll obviously post pictures of it once it's finished. I think I'm looking at a 1.26carat Harry Winston inspired cushion. It'll be gorgeous, I'm sure, but still wish I could afford a 2.0 carat ;)
