Hi All,
My b/f and I are still searching for the "right" ring and I discovered this simple yet beautiful Tacori setting (http://www.tacori.com/engagement/40-15rd6.html). I'm not a big name brand person and this setting just happened to be Tacori. My question is if there are other settings that are similar (i.e., classic solitaire with a little detail on the band to add a "twist" to the look)? Even though the price for this ring is cheaper than many Tacori settings, it still seems fairly expensive for a fairly simple solitaire. Ideas?
Also, I want to incorporate sapphires somehow and am thinking of adding a wedding band with alternating diamonds and sapphires. I took a picture with a band with emeralds (no sapphires in stock at the time) and thought it was beautiful. However, I have had three people look at the photo and say that the wedding band does not match the engagement ring. I can't seem to understand why though because a) it appears to match to me and b) I was under the impression that the benefit of the solitaire is that it goes with pretty much anything. It would bother me if the rings really don't match, so I was interested in getting some other opinions. Perhaps there is something I'm missing. Also, I should note that I plan to get a princess cut diamond and would end up getting a channel set band similar to this most likely so that the stones were the same shape as the center diamond. http://www.bluenile.com/sapphire-diamond-ring-14k-white-gold_21366?click_id=801121589
Thanks for any and all advice! This forum has been amazingly helpful and I appreciate all the posts I have received in the past.
P.S. I'm going to try and post a pic of the e-ring w/ wedding band but it was not uploading at the time.
