Right. As Neil said it''s all relative. A crystal which makes a 50 pointer an SI diamond could very well be a VS inclusion in a larger diamond. Or not...perhaps it would still make it SI, depending on placement & relief (visibility). Every case is judged on its own particulars.Date: 7/2/2009 12:13:42 PM

I know when grading color that a 5 carat J will look more yellow than a 1 carat J, so maybe they do allow identical type of inclusions to be larger in a larger stone to get the same clarity grade.

let say we have a 2 ct stone that''s graded SI1,now imagine if we can magically take the same size inclusions from this 2 ct stone and put it on a 5 ct stone,should/would this 5 ct stone grade VS clarity?
