Clarity and Cut for Diamond Pendant

Hi all,

I would like to eventually get a diamond pendant...I really like the bezel or halo look. I am looking for the center diamond to be around 1-1.5 carats. I am wondering what the clarity, color, and cut should be. I obviously like it to sparkle, but because it will be a pendant perhaps I can cut some cost by lowering my expectations. I am not particular color-sensitive because I had a J diamond and my new upgrade will also be a J. What would be the lowest parameters would you consider? Thanks in advance!

For a pendant I would look for a GIA Ex cut, not an H&A, and I would look for a J Si2 with a prongable inclusion or eye clean at 12 inches.

For cut I would still want it to be very nice but would consider 60-60 types that I would not prefer in a ring stone. Some GIA VG cuts could work fine for a pendant depending on why they were dinged to VG.

I also like old cuts a lot in pendants. Bold and chunky.
