Hi everyone,

I just got this nice set of citrine stones – total of 218 carats,
15 pieces, around 14.5 carats each.

They are clean, nicely faceted, and definitely suitable for jewelry.

I’m offering them for under $7 per carat, just trying to sell quickly and fairly.
But I’m getting almost no response.
Not sure if the price is too high, or maybe too low and people think something’s wrong? ‍

Also wondering if I really need to provide a certificate – I’ve had stones from the same supplier certified before, but it’s expensive and not easy to include at this price.

Any advice or feedback would really help – thanks in advance!IMG_6576.jpegIMG_6576.jpeg

Hi! They are quite lovely... I think the reason you're having trouble selling them probably comes down to oversaturation. Lots and lots of good looking citrine stones around, and that's because nowadays the color is almost always created by heating purple or brown quartz at high temps. I suspect if you have them priced well, they'll sell eventually, but will likely take some time. Good luck!

Thank you for your answer
The market is crazy. I really wish I could find a designer or goldsmith to turn these into jewelry – they would sell immediately and for a much better price.

But having them handmade here in Germany is just unrealistically expensive.

I just bought my mint garnet from Germany, and you have some of the best cutters there! :)

It looks very fresh No doubt – the Germans are precise and well-known for their quality craftsmanship.
