Chunky Cushion: Need to pick 1

I'm not sure how what is an acceptable ASET and IS for old mine brilliants. To keep things neutral, I'm leaving out the colour, clarity, ct weight and measurements, and other pertinent information. I will post them as OMC1 and OMC2.

I'm not sure which to pick because there are pluses and minuses with both old style cushions. I'm also hoping those who understand ASETs will help me intepretate the pictures. Thanks.

Can''t comment on the ASET and IS but love the culet and pure visual of the photo on #1 - I think it is gorgeous. I think a chunky cushion is one of my faves. Have fun deciding!

Hey Chrono,

Caught your thread and wanted to give you a heads up on something. One of these diamonds, particularly the 2nd one, is one I have been personally working on with my facility that is cutting my new signature chunky cushions and was sent back for a tweaking. I should be getting it back this upcoming week, then resubmitting for the new GIA report as I''ve in essense "digitally" seen the results on it. When it returns and before we send it to GIA I can show you a comparison between the 2 if you like for a more informed choice. The facet structure will basically be identical but the proportions have been tweaked. Send us an email to my attention and I''ll keep ya flagged when it arrives if you like for a video comparison.

You''re too funny. You are correct about #1 but I don''t know about the 20 miles part. LOL The comparison will be a bit more interesting when #2 comes back.

I like OMC1 a lot too but I''m curious about how much the tweaking will improve OMC2. Perhaps the light leakage in the center will be minimized?
