I am having a tough time choosing between the following three diamonds...so who wants to help me?

I've posted three pics and three ASETs below. AVC1 corresponds to ASET1, etc. I am going to withhold most details for now, but I'll tell you that two are J, one is G; and two are S1, one is VS1. The prices for all three are comparable. Anyone spot any obvious issues or concerns with any of them?

Thanks for the help!!

Here is #1:

Here are #2 and #3:

I'm definitely no diamond expert, especially when it comes to cushions, but I don't really care for the 2nd stone. I like the 3rd one the best.

I'm no expert but #2 is the one I like the least... I think I like #1 better...but #3 is close to a tie....

Marginal cut quality differences between the three and likely nothing you would be able to tell with your naked eye they are all great. The major differences would be the LW ratio, the size and then color and clarity. I would let things you can actually see influence your decision not minor differences in cut.

My eyes tend to be drawn to the slightly rectangular AVC's, but with what you posted here it's hard to give a more objective answer.

What are your eyes telling you?

Nice Mad Men name, New season coming back soon :praise:

I like 1 best. Don't like 2 and it's a bit too warm. 3 is ok but it is a bit too elongated for me - this is pure preference.

I like #1 the best.

#1. I prefer the more square look. But for some reason, it looks a tad lopsided?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I am gravitating towards one of these, but it is helpful to hear what others see as well.

Madelise -- I have thought that about some of the diamond pics that I've seen too. It's strange, sometimes the pic of the diamond looks slightly lopsided, but the IS or ASET image does not.

Its all going to be personal opinion.

If you want a square go with 2. Personally for a rectangle I prefer #3s proportions.

Vote for #3, I prefer more rectangular shape

1 or 3, don't care for the look of #2...

jones47, any update?

Thanks for asking, SDCP.

So I ended up selecting the first one. Sarah at GOG -- who was tremendously patient and helpful througout my search -- was kind enough to send me an HD video of the three diamonds. I couldn't differentiate color or clarity, so I went with the shape I liked best, which also happened to be the largest of the three (and incidentally, the least expensive). It is an S1, but looks very clean, even under magnification -- no inclusions under the table, just a white feather near the edge.

For those that are interested, all three are AGS 0. Here are the other critical stats:

Number 1: 1.63 J S1;
7.10 x 6.79 x 4.57

Number 2: 1.38 G S1;
6.38 x 6.48 x 4.38

Number 3: 1.46 J VS1;
6.40 x 6.83 x 4.46

Thanks for all the feedback. I really appreciate everyone's help. Now it's time to work on the setting!

How exciting, to fall in love the the biggest and least expensive of the group! What are your ideas for the setting? I hope you come back and share more with us :appl: :appl:

Can't wait for you to see it live jones. I wish I had the rough to cut 10 of these color/clarity combos. Sarah sends regards and thanks for allowing us to serve.

Kind regards,
Rhino
