Chubb ins. quote...too much?

Hi everyone,

Thru Touchstone, we asked for a Chubb quote for our ring, which is appraised for ~$18,000. A Touchstone agent called us back and quoted us $380/yr. We live in San Francisco, CA. Do you guys think this is too expensive or sounds about right? I read somewhere here about Chubb quotes for the Bay Area, and was hoping for something between $200-300.

If this helps at all, my ring was appraised at $16K and we''re paying around 300/year.

I''m in Toronto, so this may not apply to the Bay Area.

That is a 2.1% premium in a high crime area.

JM would be about 1.9% in your area for a replacement value policy, so 2.1 for a cash value policy seems pretty fair to me.
