Chubb in NY

I just spoke with an insurance agent here in upstate NY who claimed Chubb would not write a stand alone policy. Is that true? I have used the search, but there are some conflicting reports.

I was also interested in having the stone insured while it was being set. Again, the search was less than helpful.

What''s the value of the stone? Ostensibly, if $10 K or more, Touchstone found at the White Flash site can help you. If not...there may be other options in many threads here.

But, for coverage during setting, only Jeweler''s Mutual claims to be able to assist.

I read conflicting reports if Chubb would insure a stone for setting.

It will be under 10k anyway.
