Chubb in Canada?

One of my friend is trying to get insurance for the e-ring he just bought. He got in touch with
an insurance agent and was quoted 2.25$ US/ 100$ of the appraisal value (Chubb Canada).
And we are both leaving in Montreal, Canada...... not NY??!!
I feel that this rate is pretty high... or am I just dreaming?

Also is there a 800 number to contact directly Chubb canada?

In fact it's 3$/100$US of appraisal value...... is the money going in
the agent's pockets ????
