Chrome diopside and 22/24k pendant

I bought this ancient Celtic gold crescent pendant. I had a chrome diopside cab attached to it. I probably should have left it as it was since it is so old but I did not wear it that way.

Chrome diopside is pretty soft but I love the vivid green. Does anyone else have chrome diopside jewelry?

Chrome diopside isn't really a vivid green, but more of a forest green to my eyes. It's also very dark, if you get the transparent material, and it has a glassy look to it. You have an opaque specimen I see, it reminds me a little of green marble.
