i broke down and bought 3 christmas cd's....not very traditional as i don't care that much for traditional holiday music. but these are great and some are traditional songs done differently:
A Big Band Christmas
less brown, artie shaw, harry james, benny goodman, and more. great big band sounds.
Blue Yule
blues artists like lightening hopkins, jimmy mccracklin, john lee hook, and more. yep, who knew the blues could be such bluesy fun!?
and for a rock'n good time, Little Steven's Undergound Garage presents Christmas A Go Go with the likes of keith richrads, bob seger, the ramones, brian setzer orchestra, the kinks, and more.
this is more fun than john waters and leon redbone combined. christmasy w/o the artificial sweetener. great music to listen to while wrapping those holiday presents....all i need now is a cocktail or a glass of wine because this is party music!
