I thought you meant the green stone! I couldn't figure out what a D emerald was!:D I couldn't even visualize a 163 ct flawless hunk of carbon.

Then I clicked through and saw the pear-cut emeralds and the emerald cut diamonds in the necklace. Nice touch!

:geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2:Me likey!!!!!!!!:geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2::geek2:

:eek2: I truly hope that was a joke....otherwise, I have no words.

I'm actually surprised nobody has brought up the cut. As other people have mentioned I'd definitely prefer a smaller well cut stone over a larger poorly cut stone. And I don't think "De Grisogono" is a PS Authorized Vendor, so definitely want to see an ASET.

Wouldn't want to buy this, and find out you need to recut into an Octavia later on. ;-)

In actuality, when I saw video of the stone, it looked like it had a large table and a fair amount of leakage. So here ya go....I'd rather have a smaller one with a perfect cut to go with the D FL!

I love the choice of De Grisogono. He has a very distinctive style and is made black and grey diamonds sheik...even though black diamonds are a PITA to set due to brittleness. He used them on sunglasses and cell phones. Certaintly a known and recognised designer. His stuff is intricate and clean. I hope that necklace joins it's matching ring.

I don't know. Whoever buys that will be paying for color and clarity they can't see.

Find a nice I SI1 would be my advice.

True, but the grades can be seen on the grading report. :D
Also, some day the buyer can sell it to another buyer who is also glad to pay for what they can't see.
It's not throwing money away.

Visible or not, D IF is worth more.
