Thanks to all that have given me help!
She liked this one,
http://www.dscaasi.com/build/step1.asp?prodID=ten07A
and the x-prong from Whiteflash.
Since I liked the tension one better, and the great service at Scaasi (though WF was great too), I chose the tension one. Unless she has a complete change of heart I think I made happy choice.
Except that I worry I spent too much. Litterally 2 months of my salary, cutting in half my current savings. We had talked about getting a less expensive ring (around 2k) to put the rest of the money toward a house downpayment.
But with this setting/diamond I''m confident she''d never want to upgrade.
I chose this diamond:
$2,760.00
Carat: 0.75
Color: G
Clarity: VS1
Cut: IDEAL
Shape: Princess
Depth %: 67.3
Table %: 73
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Good
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.15*5.10*3.43
Length To Width Ratio: 1.01
Lab: GIA
Pics to come. Good deal?
