Hello all!

Long time lurker, first time poster here! Although, I don't find myself extremely knowledgable and ask your opinions.

I'm shopping around and was able to get my SA to print me off the Tiffany Certs for the diamonds I'm looking at.

Ground work: Both are .85 cts for the Embrace setting.

1: $13,200
.85cts
F color
VVS1
No fluorescence
cut: excellent
sym: very good
polish: excellent
girdle is medium to slightly thick

2: $11,700
.85cts
G color
VVS2
faint fluorescence
Cut: excellent
Sym: excellent
Polish: excellent
Girdle is slightly thick

I can provide the cut proportions if that would help...(all proportions of both diamonds are within a few percentile of each other. I have seen both, I would say that the F color does seem slightly brighter. I wasn't able to get to natural light with either of them though. Is it in my head? I hope to purchase within a day or two, so any insight would be great!

Thanks,

B

Just personally I don't think I would be able to tell the difference between these two stones to the naked eye.

Therefore, I'd get the cheaper one!

Are there no VS1 options?

yeah I would ask for a VS1 or VS2. also...if you have the cut proportions I would be interested to see what they are?

Inquired with my TCO SA about VS1 and from the nationwide inventory she read off to me, nothing really popped as worth while.

I'm thinking the $11,700 might be best for me at this time. Of course barring anything someone may notice in the proportions that wouldn't make it a good purchase.

Have you tried putting these in HCA (cut advisor)?

It's giving me a 2.4 for the F color stone and a 3.8 for the G color stone.

I am assuming these are GIA cert so the numbers are rounded...
It's hard to evaluate the cut using rounded numbers.

I also think the VVS2 clarity is too much. I would go down to VS2 and go up in carat.

These are infact Tiffany Cert Numbers and not rounded. I checked with the SA again and the only two are smaller in carat size in lower clarity that is...
