Hello, as diamonds are not my day job, I am having some difficulty in deciding if the diamonds I have chosen are worth their price. I found Whiteflash has been most helpful by both customer service and diamond options. Here is what I'm looking for:

Princess Cut
Best of the best cut (A Cut Above from Whiteflash seems to fit this, I could use other recommendations)
Color: D,E,F
Clarity: FL-VVS2
Carat: 0.7-.9
My budget is up to $3400

I am including the two I have found on Whiteflash:

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2940058.htm
http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-3036236.htm

My biggest remaining question's after weeks of research is the following:
Where do you look to get diamonds that you can feel comfortable are the best of the best cut?
What is the best way to evaluate an ASET image (princess cut)?
"Who" can you trust in this business?

I would also like to specify why I am looking for such a high quality diamond; beyond my desire for a "perfect" diamond for my significant other, she actually works in the diamond business, and will see inclusions is something like a SI or VSI. Not that she would dislike something like VSI, but I have reason for my clarity choice is my point.

Thanks for any help!

For starters you looked in the right place. WF offers ideal cut princesses with their ACA line, and you found two that are from there. You can trust them, and you went to a preferred vendor who namely deals with ideal rounds and princess cuts. The ASET .... You want as much red as possible showing, red being brightest (most light return for a bright stone) and then greens ( almost as much light return), but it's desirable to have blue which shows contrast, although I'm not entirely sure how that plays out in a princess. Any black shows leakage (lost light). Also you want the colors to be spread evenly, symmetrically, and equally throughout the stone. Good luck, and I don't think you can go wrong with WF ACA

Opinions about the ASET and Idealscope images on the two I linked?

Just to offer you more suggestions, there is also the Solasfera Princess GOG carries. :) Its light performance is stunning.

Which is better??? They are both Whiteflash ACA and their links are above.
Their price difference is less than $200

I like them both. I think the bigger one has a tiny bit more leakage (black) than the smaller one but probably not enough
to be bothered about. Not sure which one I'd go for. For some reason I like the .8 better but I'm not sure why?

Guess I'm not much help here :(sad .

Does anybody believe I could find a better diamond within my parameters and budget (note I want the top cut possible)? Excluding the budget would it be difficult to find a better stone than these two that is .7-.8ct?

You chose two of the best cut stones. So no, you probably can't do better...unless you drop in clarity (which you won't) or color... So it seems like your stuck with some of the best cut stones for your budget.

Either of the two is better, although the 80 point stone seems to show a bit of leakage, but they're both great. Not sure what else you're asking for? Go for the bigger of the two stones since princesses are smaller than say a round.

I checked Brian Gavin, GOG and James Allen and I dont think you can find anything better from our usual vendors that meet your
specs and budget. I think you have picked 2 really nice stones.

Both are very nice. I prefer the tiny table on the first one and prefer the look of the second one (pattern).

Either way I think you have a winner! :appl:
