I''m using Excel Diamonds to find my diamond. Since you need to e-mail them the diamonds you''re interested in order to get the reports, is there any way to narrow it down further?

I''m looking at the "round" diamonds, narrowed down the cut/clarity/color/carat.

The most ADDITIONAL information the site seems to provide about the diamond is:

Measurements, Depth, Table, Polish, Symmetry, and Fluorescence.

---

They have been great to deal with, I just find this aspect of the process a bit frustrating.

Please advise on what I should do. If you need more information, I''d be happy to provide it. Thanks.

Stick within these parameters if possible, that will help narrow the true ideal cuts:

depth - 60 - 62% - although you can allow up to 62.4%
table - 54- 57%
crown angle - 34- 35 degrees
pavilion angle - 40.6- 41 degrees
girdle - avoid extremes, look for thin to slightly thick, thin to medium etc
polish and symmetry - very good and above

Thank you neatfreak, that will definitely help. Wish they had the crown/pavilions.

NF''s advice is excellent! I''m a little more lenient on pavillion angles than she is. The important criteria is that the crown and pavillion angles are compatible and work together! You can see whether they work by plugging in the info to the HCA and making sure you get a score of under 2.0.

Out of interest, did you mean crown angles KC?
