Help me choose my diamond from WF--I am having them make a custom setting and since this is my 10r upgrade I want to make sure I get it right!
Thanks everyone

diamond choices

Have you checked that these are all eyeclean to your standards by asking WF? They all look great, if eyeclean ask for Bob or one of the experts to talk you through each if you are having trouble deciding, they will be able to tell you which might be the best one for you.

All ACA''s are going to be fine, so I''d choose the H color one, if it is eyeclean from the top and sides.

All looks good, which ones are eye-clean will be my choice or choices and then choose from there again.

From a clarity perspective the first one (AGS-10221807) is what I would suggest as the other two have inclusions across the table, which could be visible to the naked eye. However, that depends on the band you are choosing, because if you are going with a Platinum Band, I would go with the H color, as Platinum will bring out the color in diamonds. I would only suggest the H color stone as long as they will swear it is Eye Clean. I say this because, looking at the diagram, I would be surprised if it was indeed Eye Clean.

Good luck!

Opinions vary on this, some would argue that yellow gold reflects in the diamond making lower colors looks more tinted! Opposite with whiter gold. Many and most PSers with I-J-K color stones set them in WG and are very happy with the results.

Table inclusions have been hidden with well cut stone, do not use an inclusion location, magnified image, to judge eye-clean status of a stone. Ask the vendor who has the stone in hand.

And Platinum too.

Also, it has been my experience over the years, in looking at hundres of stones/plots, that you simply can''t go by them, or really even guess, until you get to lower SI2''s and below. I''ve seen stones I would have sworn would be eyeclean that weren''t, and vice versa. So just ask about each one, and be sure you and WF are on the same page as far as what eyeclean means to you.
