Chicago earthquake

Anyone else feel it? I woke up seconds before and the whole house was shaking. Fell back asleep and thought I must have been dreaming. Epicenter was about 20 miles away.

I had a friend who felt it. She told me she was on the verge of calling the snow plow company for being out so early and waking her up lol and then she realized it was an earthquake!

I felt it, but just thought it was a barge going by on the river. I fell back asleep and forgot about it until I heard the news this morning.

We had an earthquake?!

I''m the lightest sleeper in the world when it comes to noise, but apparently not when it comes to movement. I had no idea until I read this thread!

are you kidding? where i live the plows run all night. no one complains, they are glad to wake up to cleared roads.

I did. It woke all of us up. Felt like 100mph gust of wind was battering the house. Our dogs even freaked a bit.

This is the third earthquake I''ve felt in the last 6 years. So weird to be in northern IL and experiencing earthquakes.

I felt it! My bed shook like it normally does when a truck goes by and hits a bump in the road, but it lasted a couple seconds longer. My cat jumped up and couldn''t figure out which direction to look

The bed felt like jello for about 6 seconds. It was so short. My first thought was earthquake, then I thought too short, something must have exploded. Being that my house didn''t explode, I fell back to sleep. Was surprised it was the real deal. Can''t even imagine how scary the "big ones" must feel like.
