Chicago Dealers

I am shopping for an engagement ring and need an update on reputable dealers in Chicago/on Jeweler's Row. Who have people had positive experiences with lately? Friends have recommended Marshall & Pierce and Finkelman. I'm interested not only in quality stones, but possibly also in vintage or vintage-style platinum settings. Any help would be appreciated.

I''m a long-time lurker but I had a positive Jewelers Row experience earlier this week that I thought you might be interested in. I have been eternity ring shopping for my upcoming 10th anniversary and was pretty sure I''d end up ordering from Signed Pieces because all of the great things I had read about them on Pricescope. I decided to also visit Dimend Scaasi (17th floor of 5 South Wabash) because I had also read some positive reviews of them here and if all things were equal, I would rather buy local. Isaac, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to deal with plus (more importantly) seems like a straight shooter, no-bs kind of guy. I ended up ordering my ring from him because I am sure the ring will be gorgeous and he was competitive on price. While I was there I tried on a bunch of engagement ring settings just for fun -- he has a beautiful selection.
