Checking Before I Make The Plunge

The Zoara one looks pretty good. Ask for crown height.

Yes the dimensions look decent from what I can tell with my limited knowledge and the dimensions are

Carat Weight : 1.00
Cut : Excellent
Color : J
Clarity : SI1
Depth : 74.80
Table : 71.00
Polish : Very Good
Symmetry : Very Good
Girdle : TK
Culet : None
Fluorescence : Medium
Ratio : 1.00
Measurements : 5.40x5.39x4.03

Its too bad GIA doesn't list crown percentage but I emailed the seller for it as well as an ASET so we'll see what happens.

It looks nice. It also looks like there could be some leakage in the center and on the sides...it also looks a bit dark in the center. Only way to really tell is to get an aset image so we can see how it performs. I wouldn't ever buy a princess online without seeing an aset image of it.

+1

Also you mentioned the setting for $2k. What kind of setting do you want? If you want a simple solitaire you could save some $$$ and put those towards the centre diamond.
Well I'm just rounding up to the most I would like to spend. My lady would like platinum but would do 18k white gold. She has already stated several times that she wants the channel set style and about a 3 to 3.5 mm band. We looked at several stones in the DD from .91 to about 1.03 and she definitely didn't like the lower end since she could really tell the difference. The highest rated stone we looked at was VS1 .98ct F color, Depth 72, table 73, very good polish and excellent symmetry per gia. Man that stone looked good to both of us in the store under the lights but who knows what an ASET would have revealed since I was not even aware of it at the time back in February. Alas when we went back to buy which was some time afterward maybe 3 weeks it was gone and and the jeweler started showing us stones slightly over a carat with the same band and the price jumped from 1-2k which I know has alot to do with the ctw but I knew enough about prices to know he was now trying t charge for the diamond and full price for the band where as the first time he was practically giving the band for free. This probably had to do with the first time we went the store was empty and maybe they had a slow week but the second time there was a couple already there when we entered and I could tell right away that they were not even as knowledgeable as me with my limited knowledge as well. So the jeweler gad to let me walk to extract the most profit from a more promising customer. I don't even blame the guy so maybe I'll go check back in with him and see if business is slow. Sorry for the long story.

Are the inclusions in this diamond bad? It's the report from the pic I posted earlier which I posted again so you would not have to go back to page 1 to see it.

Pardon my ignorance in diamond speak but what does CH mean? And here are the ASET, Idealscope and real Image that I requested from the vendor. I also asked for the crown angle which you suggested Julie but he said he did not have it at this time because the diamond is in India but he would try to get it. He said that he would let me know by Monday.

CH is crown height. I don't want the crown angle, I wouldn't know what to do with it.

Ok sorry my mistake, I'm figuring that you did some quick math on the dimensions to get the CH so what is it and how did you calculate? I know sometimes it gets tiring when you feel like your answering the same questions over and over again since I'm the same way but I really appreciate yours as well as everyone else input on PS.

It is actually that diagram that says it isn't to scale on the GIA report. It might not be to scale but it is in the ballpark. Just checking to make sure it isn't as flat as a pancake. what is the price?

$2900 I don't know why it's so low. Would it be because of the inclusions? 2146791480 is the GIA report #

Ask vendor if it is eye-clean. Take a chance on it for that price.

Well I just got off the phone with Franco at B2C To put this diamond on hold as I nail down A setting. He has been very helpful and answered all my questions. He seems very honest and unequivocally that this stone is eye clean as well as it being a good performer based on the ASET and Ideal scope images. He even gave me a coupon code to get another 7% off of the setting. Of course I told him that I'm a PS member and that I have an active thread going on about this stone. I saw this stone on several sites and B2C has it several hundred dollars cheaper. I will get get the stone appraised loose and then again once it's set. Already contacted several independent appraisers. Hopefully this is the one and I can move onto finding a used car for my lady.

good luck!
