For pricescopers also on Facebook, I recommend checking out the Chase Community Giving Page. It allows you to vote for charities across the US for who should receive 100K and 1 million dollar donations.
Voting is only open for the next week so if you want to vote definitely don''t put it off.
My personal recommendation for charities is Misericordia in Illinois. I actually had the pleasure of going there and they do the most amazing work with mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals. They have so many amazing programs like allowing some high functioning individuals to live with others like them in the community while still providing them with the skills and support to live on their own. Or many of those who live inside the Misericordia community have jobs to help raise money for the foundation like working in the bakery or creating artwork(some of which was SO amazing) that sells at annual auctions. I was so amazed at the work these children and adults were doing when I visited.
You get 5 votes so I also voted for a charity for clean water programs in 3rd world countries and an organization involved in returning abducted child soliders to their families. If you have a few minutes you should check it out and vote!
