Welcome to PS Kalyn! I appreciate the suggestions. We have our hotel booked already, but many of them sound like great places to stay. I just wrote down the restaurants you mentioned. we''ll definitely check some of them out.

Thanks! I figure that I have been reading and learning from so many of you, it''s about time I joined in. If nothing else on that list, at least get to Hominy Grill for breakfast or lunch. It has really turned into one of my favorites of all time, and it''s very much a local place. Not many tourists there, not crazy expensive. My dream is to do the tasting menu at McCrady''s, but BF turned it down this trip

I spent a week at Isle of Palms, SC this summer with my family and we ventured into Charleston (20 minute drive) every day! I thought Charleston was super cute! If you''re looking for a bling fix, Joint Venture has some amazing estate pieces--they''re located right on King Street. My favorite restaurant we visited was outside of Charleston and is called Seewee cafe. Oh my lordy, it was delicious! It is a hole-in-the-wall, but everythign was made from scratch and the owner often serves the customers. They had the best banana pudding EVER!
