Welcome to my two-part poll
Please answer once regarding the effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaning on channel setting style (part 1) and once regarding the likelihood of ultrasonic stone abrasion (part 2)
I'm thinking about having a channel-set eternity band made and I'm starting to look into the practical aspects of cleaning it.
I'm wondering if you think I could get away with no azures (the little gaps in the setting behind the stones), If I had the channel polished before the stones were set, and frequently cleaned the ring in an ultrasonic cleaner? Or is that just asking for permagunk?
Do you think frequent US cleaning of a channel set stones could cause them to scratch each other?
In daily life I give my jewellery a good clean at least once a week - if that affects your opinion.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
