CHANGLING, latest movie from director Clint Eastwood

my husband and i saw this last friday and i highly recommend it. i liked it better than MILLION DOLLAR BABY....and that was a good movie.

based on a true story of Los Angeles police corruption in 1928 and one woman''s fight against it. much of the dialog is taken straight from court records. imo, AJolie is so good that not only should she be nominated for best actress, she should win it. incredible story and incredible acting. i think Eastwood is at his finest when he''s behind the camera and not directing himself. he also wrote the musical score....not the first time he''s done this.....and i thought it was terrific. who knew that the lone spaghetti western horseman with the sombrero would grow up to be such a fine director?!

I''m glad to hear about the movie. My dad is the BIGGEST Eastwood fan, so I grew up watching all those old shows and movies. And, let me tell ya, he makes a fine lookin fella on Rawhide! I loved Play Misty for Me because it got him out of the Western mold, but I still think he''s a great actor.

btw-he''s been directing since the 70s.

Thanks for posting this. I was going to start a thread to see if any one saw it, and liked it. I''m hoping to go see it later this week. I''ve been looking forward to this movie for awhile. I find the 20''s to be a very interesting period in time.

yes, he''s been directing for a long time....but he''s really hitting his stride in his older years....

Saw it and LOVED it!!! I''m usually not a huge fan of Angelina Jolie, but I agree . . . she did a fantastic job and should definitely AT LEAST get a nomination for Best Actress!

I didn''t like the ending, though.
