changing the stone in a bezel setting

I love this ring, but I don''t love the blue topaz. I ran across it in my hunt for a RHR and the setting is the exact design I want in my very hard to find ring size (5) for a fraction of the price that it would be to have it ordered and sized from Stuller ($30, vs. $110). Would it be a good idea to buy this setting with the intention of finding a different stone to go in it?

I''m dreaming of a pale green stone in this setting. What do you think? Thanks for all your help!!

The setting from Stuller won''t have a gemstone, right? It''s just an empty mount? Unlike prong set settings, remove a stone from a bezel setting, the mounting can sometimes be completely unusable afterwords. Otherwise, that bezel setting looks all right, except that the rim of metal around the stone looks rather heavy and bulky.

Yeah, the $110 setting is just the setting, there''s no stone involved. I really like the heavy bezel on that ring, and I like that it''s sort of bulky, but thank you for telling me about the potential instability involved in resetting a stone in a bezel. Maybe I''ll just keep looking for that fun RHR.
