Hi all--I''m new here and hoping you can help me out.
My fiance had my e-ring custom made and the setting is very low (which is what I liked)...but I never thought about the wedding band and now that I''m looking for one, I''m realizing that I would prefer it to sit flush and nothing does. I don''t really care for notched or curved wedding bands, so I''m curious about what my options are. I prefer to wear the rings together on the same finger.
I don''t know if these are even possible, but some ideas I came up with:
1. See if jeweler can "raise" the basket (not sure if that''s the right term?) so band can sit under it
2. See if jeweler can add a small halo so wedding band can sit under that
3. Change stone from princess to a more oblong cushion cut so wedding band can sit under that
4. Settle for the curved/notched wedding band but get it with diamonds all around so I can turn it around to wear it alone
5. Get two thin bands to sit on either side so gap on both sides is "equal"
I know I need to talk to the jeweler, but I was hoping to get some opinions as to whether any ideas can even be done and the pros and cons of each or if there are any options I''m not considering.
I don''t really have a good picture of my ring, but here''s what I have. The metal is platinum if that makes a difference.
