Hi all, thanks for all the previous recommendations, unfortunately there has been an unexpected expense that the future fiance and I did not forsee having to pay... we''ve agreed it''s better to use some of the money going towards the diamond rather than have this hanging over our heads...

With that said..

I have a total budget of $10,000:
Center Stone: $7800
Setting $1k
Side Stones: $1200

The sidestones and setting I already have picked out (much thanks to WF), though I''m somewhat hesitant because the sidestones are non-certed, but that''s mostly do to lack of knowledge of what that means, but I trust their judgement!

For the center stone I''m looking for a princess diamond in the 1.2c range or a little bigger, G color or better, Eye clean, and then based on your recommendation, anything that would be really brilliant and sparkly... I leave this open for interpretation because I still feel I have a lot to learn when it comes to ASET, IS and actual images of the diamonds, and honestly don''t think I could make an accurate call based on seeing them with the current knowledge I have.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated :)

Here are some suggestions

Thank you again Lorelei! I've been looking at those as well as this one from WF:

http://www.whiteflash.com/aca_princess/Whiteflash-ACA-Princess-cut-diamond-2128390.htm#

however, I'm having a problem (maybe just fear of making a mistake) of narrowing it down.

- The second link you posted, the actual diamond pic seems to look really nice, but the ASET seems to show quite a bit of light leakage...
- The Third and forth link indicate light leakage at the center, but it seems to be more noticable in the fourth.
- The WF diamond seems to have a fairly good ASET, but the actual diamond pic seems to look less than stellar.

I know that regardless of my choice, it will have some flaws, I'm ok with that, i guess I'm just unsure which one will translate into the best looking diamond

Most welcome!

I think the first one I posted looks the best, the WF diamond is nice but looks a little contrasty in the pic ( with the dark areas), I would ask for some more pics of that one.

OIC, didn''t notice his 1.2c criteria, was basing the specs on his ACA example.

GOG #1 seems to be the best to me too.

Yep, if he would go a bit smaller the Infinity could be a nice choice.

I am amendable to going down a little in size if the quality justified it. that is a very nice find cold-stone!

It is a nice diamond, I would make it between the first GOG diamond below

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4786/

and the Infinity if you don't mind going a bit smaller. My pick would be the GOG diamond as it has everything you want and it is of top cut, same specs as the Infinity for colour and clarity and it will be slightly larger.

Also keep in mind that the first rock from GOG is a tad off-square, which may be perceptible to the naked eye at that L:W ratio. Is a more perfectly square diamond important to you?

Honestly all of these suggestions look great to me! My personal preference would be for the last of the 4 GOG stones provided that the "open cavity" isn''t a structural issue. It''s the biggest of the bunch, not as off-square as the first one, and the ASET looks great. I wouldn''t worry much about the small amount of leakage in these ASETs - it''s not likely to affect performance in these cases. These rocks have AGS ideal light performance and were hand-picked by Jon because they''re some of the best princesses around. With a less trusted vendor I might be concerned, but not with GOG.

You can get 5% discount if you buy the Infinity diamond.

I would suggest this one: http://www.highperformancediamonds.com/index.php?page=view-id-diamond-infinity&id=514

With 5% discount, the above Infinity diamond would cost you $8,845.45
Your budget left over is $1,154.55.

Are you already set to go with WF setting and side diamonds? If you haven''t then consider an alternative way of finding setting and side diamonds. Surely you can find a better price for a setting and side diamonds. With your budget, I would suggest to allocate 80% toward the centter diamond and the rest can go toward the sides and setting. Just a thought!

It is a fun process, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. With the Infinity diamond, you can''t go wrong.

Joelly, that is too high for OP's budget. His entire budget is 10k, with about 2.2k devoted to the setting and side-stones already, leaving about 7.8k to play with.

Oooops sorry Joelly. Didn''t know you already suggest the diamond.

I agree with Joelly though. I love how icy an F color would look. An icy three stone ring will look yummy at all time. IMHO, of course I am biased, having one myself.
