Hi everyone, I'm new here and would like some advice on where to get a champagne diamond. I'm looking for a princess cut. Any suggestions would be great!

FWIW I've bought several colored diamonds from the vendor Stone-cold11 mentions.
I've even returned a few stones for refunds, upgrades or credit.
My experience has been that they are very honest and reliable.

Hi all!
StoneCold- I'm curious to know where you got the data to back up your statement......

Anyway, do your homework, pick your vendor, and buy your diamond.

I don't know anything about Rockdiamond, and I'm not sure how his/her comment would clue me that he sells FCD?

Stone, I'm not allowed to post links to any diamond selling sites.
I guess I was honestly curious because you made a statement- there are sites linked to FCD databases, for example. They might have the greatest number of stones. or other FCD sites- one would need to know how many stones each of them had to definitively declare one to have the most. I would love to know the true answer- but it would be hard to ascertain.
So I asked in curiosity by what benchmark you made the statement.

MissMNB- I am posting here on behalf of a company- which is why I can't discuss other sites specifically- it's a (very good IMO) forum rule.
I can give you some general info.
Champagne is kind of a vague term.
There are many shades of brown ranging from very faint, up through quite deep in color- all of which could conceivably be called "champagne" or "Chocolate" or "Copper Colored"- whatever. Then there's brown mixed with other colors. There's probably hundreds of shades of diamonds that can be described as "Champagne"
A more accurate manner of describing the color is using GIA terminology.

Fancy Brown-
Fancy Yellow-Brown

There is also a C1-C8 ( i believe) scale for pure browns.
Funny thing but I don't recall seeing many pure brown grades form GIA- most have some modifier.
Anyway, look at different shades and see what you like.
Do you like a more orangy brown- or a more yellow brown- there's even green browns- and of course the king of browns- pink- browns.

I found some sort of color scale on here, and if the colors are accurate, then I like anything from C1-C4.

Ahahaha, I would love to know what Kenny posted. I keep missing these posts.

Seriously though, the site stone mentioned is great. I'm dealing with them too and so far their assistance has been excellent (prompt response, good communication, can do up photos for you at your request if you leave a deposit, and flexible return/shipping policies).

Also they don't have representatives here on PS that challenge statements PS forumers make in goodwill. Honestly, when that happens it makes me want to deal with the defensive company much less. Which is a waste, as it is a fine site on its own. Just that the foruming is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. But hey, I'm speaking for myself, not as a general guide to anyone else.

You can also do a search for Langermann diamonds, good selection and range of quality - including quite a number that are really excellent if their certs and pictures stack up but I have never personally purchased anything from them.

Between the site posted and Langermann, these two internet sites seem to have the largest accessible range of quality FCDs that I enjoy browsing through daily. There are yet more sites, but these two have transparent price policies and good inventory for a wide range of colours not just champagne, which makes shopping fun.

Good luck on your hunt for the perfect 'champagne' colored diamond.

I would also suggest looking at Diamonds by Laurens site, as I have worked with David over the years on many many occasions and always been happy with the results :) And if there is something specifically you are looking for and don't see it on his site, he has always been great at hunting down the perfect stone.

As I see it, I have been around for sometime now as a PS member and even longer as a PS lurker-you come to the realization that some members, who are very opinionated and like to essentially hear their own voice, just like to fuel the fire of a long running personal feud---please keep that it mind when reading these and future posts ;))

Please come back with pictures once you've chosen your stone!!!

Hi Stepcut, good to see you recommending DBL. You have some really nice FCDs, are they all from DBL? That in itself would be a rousing endorsement. I do notice that they seem to specialise primarily in yellows and near yellows though.

I actually like the way that their website is put together, and the videos and the realistic photos in the less than ideal light. What i'm not liking is the way that sometimes they come across on forum. Overly defensive when there isn't a need to be. I've run into that myself a few times and have no feud to speak of being so new.

Hi TristanC-Thank you for the compliment, my collection of FCD is more vast than what is posted on PS. I own FCD's in all color families, other than red, in varying saturation and sizes. I have been collecting for many years and have used around a dozen different vendors. The majority of the FCD's I wear on a regular basis are from DBL and include mainly pinks and yellows-I have even purchased several colorless diamonds and gemstones from David---about 2 dozen transactions in all. The video's and pics on Davids site have always been very accurate and helpful as they tend to show a variety of lighting conditions which mimic real life situations and David has always been friendly and accommodating.

As far as my other statement it is just food for thought ;))
