So for ONCE we actually needed cat free pics in this house because I want to sell my persian rug and needed pics of the rug alone. And what do you know? Instead of having to follow them around and coax them, all you have to do is shoot for a cat free pic and they pose.
Cats are such interesting creatures! This weekend I was trying to make swaddling blankets. I had the fabric on the floor so I could cut and pin it. The cats absolutely wouldn't get off of it. It's okay, I got my revenge by practicing my swaddling skills on them
She knows that the rug will sell faster if there's a pretty kitty showing it off. The only way I get my cats to cooperate is to pretend that I don't want them to do something or be somewhere. Contrary indeed.
That is great - another one to add to the weird pet stuff thread. She really is quite good at posing. of course if you had wanted/expected/asked her to...
Adorable. But of course she wants to be in the pictures! Did you move the rug for the photoshoot? I've found that is enough to bring the kitty out of the woodwork. Anything out of the ordinary requires a cat to investigate or hide, but usually both, at the kitty's preference, naturally!
She's got an excess of personality, my Hally. And she is a hussy. I think most black and white tuxedo cats suffer from being trouble and mine is no exception. It might sell faster with her modeling it, you never know.
I just had the rug cleaned and de-haired before it was placed in a local shop for consignment. But it didn't sell. So I just rolled it out to take pics and we couldn't get her out of the frame until we locked her out. Of course it's got cat hair on it now, again.
