I called the 911 to report him missing.. He is 16 and is deaf. I could call him till the cows come home but he wouldn't hear me... DD came home, and I said I can't find him... He loves the garage, looking for food, searched there... I searched all over the house...

Ash and I took flash lights going over the property... I kept calling him.. I tripped over a branch and skinned my knee ... I would climb heaven and earth to find this dog.

The phone rang, it was a lady who said she has the cutest dog, with a blue invisible fence collar... She said she knew I had just called about my dog being missing... I was like BLESS you!!! You have NO idea how much you getting my dog means to us... He was about to walk in a busy road...

Ash and I went to meet her... Casper nearly jumped out of her car to us. She said you have such a great dog, he's a love... I said you have no idea what you did for us tonight. We were searching all over. Tears were flowing....

She's going to get a big gift basket and then some....

Casper being deaf, it's super tough... I want to keep him in a bubble, but that won't work...

Ash, is asleep. She was sooooo worried...

Thank god for nice people... I don't know this lady, but sure will find out...

JUst goes to show, there ARE good people, that do the right thing..

my heart sank when I saw the thread topic but by the end was yyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :appl: :appl: :appl: he is back

I'm so glad you and your dear pooch are back together! My dear Squeaky was deaf for the last two years or so of his life, and I understand the special anxiety that comes with deafness, not to mention the juggling you constantly do between protecting your pet and letting him enjoy the activities that give him pleasure. (((hugs))) to you and Casper!

Oh you SOOO get it VRBeauty... It's rough keeping them safe, but at the same time want them to have some freedom. He hears me when I am mad, so maybe it's selective??

IDK, all I know is this dog is my heart... My husbands heart. And my kids heart...

This dog means the world to all of us.

And he's not that good looking, but has a great personality and talks...He's a riot...

OK off to sleep now that I nearly lost it tonight.. :snore: :snore: :snore:

How could I ever say to my kids, the dog is gone.... :((

So glad everything turned out well. :wavey:

Oh thank goodness for a happy ending!! My heart sank when I read your title of the post.

Thank God he's home! :appl:

Honestly, Lisa, I was afraid to read your post. I am so relieved that Casper is home with you. Years ago, some idiot let my indoor cat, Woody, out of the house. Fortunately, he didn't go further than the back yard. I called that man words I didn't even know I knew. You are blessed to have your sweet one back with you and I am so happy that this story had a happy ending :))

So happy your boy is home safe.

I am so happy that a kind person was able to help you out! I had a pet go missing once and we were all sick with worry. Thank goodness for people who actually CARE. :appl:

So glad for the happy ending!

Holy cow Lisa, I almost had a heart attack when I read this! I'm SO glad Casper is back home!

I love stories with happy endings!

I'm so glad Casper's okay! :appl:

So relieved your event had a happy ending! Huge sigh of relief. :appl:

Wonderful news! :appl: Sorry you had such a scare.

Good things do happen; you have to look for them some of the time but once in a while they are front and center!

I was in a discount supermarket (just takes cash as payment; no cards, and I am a cards not cash person) and was just over €1 short when I checked out. A young man popped out of the queue and offered to give me the money I was short. I was so ticked pink by his kindness I was beaming for the day.

Thanks guys!!! We are sooooo relieved that he's back safe and sound. He walked pretty far for an old man. Now when I put him out, I go with him. Not taking any chances. Invisible fence or not!!

That is so great! I am really glad to hear that an animal lover and overall good person found him.
It is stories like these that let me know there are still a few caring humans out there.
What wonderful news. It gave me goosebumps to read it. I was so worried.

:appl: :appl: :appl:

*Relieved sigh*, I do love a happy ending :))

So glad you got Capser back Lisa :appl: :appl:

Oh my gosh, the first part of your post had me so incredibly worried! So glad Casper is back home with you!

OMG, Lisa!!! I read the title of this thread and about had a heart attack! I'm soooo glad he's home and he's OK! ((((HUGS)))) =)

I am feeling like I got kicked in the stomach... SO happy to have him back, but still think OMG, this could have been it... My DD feels the same.

We are off to Nantucket soon. He's very much a homebody there... We have invisible fencing there as well. BUT will be watched like a hawk..

Poor guy wll have no privacy...

Thanks for all your well wishes...

He's been my best friend for 16 years and I can't imagine life without him.
