Thank you for the link, Matata. I hadn't known that she died, although I knew about the heart attack. It saddens me. But I enjoyed reading the material you linked. I had forgotten how much I loved her. She had a rich personality and great wit. I am, now, wondering if I ever read Postcards From The Edge. My memory being what it is, even if I did read it, I could probably reread it and think it was all new. So perhaps I will do that. Thank you for sharing.

Trouble in the force. I shall miss reading and watching her.. quite a character. She is now part of the force.

A very sad time for her family, friends and fans. ;(

I loved her in When Harry Met Sally too.

I just saw that in the news and couldn't quite grasp it. I feel so sorry for her mother, who must be totally devastated right now. Carrie was a strong and brave woman who had a hard life but brought pleasure and strength to others with her truth. RIP

I will miss her greatly. She was such a good writer. I just bought her latest - The Princess Diarist - a couple of weeks ago. And she could be devastatingly funny. Check out her AFI tribute to George Lucas. I don't have the link, but it's 5 minutes of Carrie at her truthful, funny best and worth looking for. She didn't give a %$^# what people thought and I loved that about her.

I think I'm done with the 12 days of Christmas if this is what's being dished out. I will forever remember watching Star Wars in 1977 and being mesmerised by the movie and the cinnamon bun rolls in her hair...RIP, Carrie Fisher.

Tragic. Carrie Fisher was a talented artist and had the best sense of humor. Sarcastic, witty, self deprecating and just hilarious and so smart. She was one of a kind.

This link was, indeed, wonderful. I have kept reading about her and seeing more videos of her. I loved this interview she did with Ellen about a year ago.

Love her. Girl's got cajones...

I just watched an interview that Oprah Winfrey held with her and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, about five years ago. It was really great, very funny. I really feel that I am celebrating Carrie Fisher's life on my own terms by finding what I want to watch that she has recorded and seeing it. I also sent for a copy of one of her books. I am glad that she is not, yet, "resting" for me. Her physical death seems to have brought about a reawakening (in me) of appreciation for her.

Debbie Reynolds was rushed to the hospital today. They are saying she is in serious condition from a possible stroke. Very sad.

And now Debbie Reynolds has died also. Very sad!

This is terrible for the family. Will miss them both.

I can't even imagine Billie Lourd's pain right now. I loved Carrie. So candid, and such a treasure. Her commentary was my favorite part of Star Wars EP VII because I loved her giving interviews all the time.
