I am a long time lurker that has used this site since before my engagement! I couldn''t find anything about sizes of diamonds for wedding rings when it comes to the size of your e ring to best showcase the set.

I just ordered a half an eternity band from Signed Pieces -this has eleven .09 size diamonds. My e-ring is about 1.25 diamond solitaire.

Do you think that the wedding band diamonds are going to be too big for my solitaire???????

Or can someone refer me to another thread on this subject??

Thanks for any input!

it's on the appreciatively sizeable side, but i think it'd look great. it is not dainty, if that is what you want.

I think it''s a matter of preference. some like to keep the stones on the eternity band small so it doesn''t distract from the center. I agree with Julie, .09''s are probably bigger than I''d go with a 1.25 but the great thing about signedpieces is their wonderful return policy. if you get it and you feel it''s too big you can always just exchange it.

yep, matter of preference. my e-ring is 2.13 & the w-band has 3 pointers. i went small so that the band would be the same width as my e-ring band.

I definately agree that it''s more a matter of personal taste. My ering is 1.54 ct and my band has almost 9 pointers --- it''s 1.85ctw with 21 stones, breaks down to about 0.088

I was very torn and came close to going with 3 pointers but decided I personally wanted a more substantial eternity ring since I was going for it. ;) Here''s a pic for reference.....

Thanks for all the replies. I will be getting the band next week so I will have to decide when I get it. I have heard so many good things about Signed Pieces from this website that I can''t wait to see it!!

BTW Jenn your set is stunning!!

Beautiful rings, Jen! My diamond is close to the size of Jen''s (1.63) and I have 10 point stones in my diamond band. But I think I''d stick with no more than 7-8 points with a 1.25 ct. diamond, personally. The other thing to be sure about is where the diamond band hits your e-ring. Just be sure the diamonds don''t rub or scratch your e-ring prongs. Some are set lower than others.

My e-ring is set pretty high and I also got the raphael setting for that purpose- so the diamonds on the band would be pretty low. But I just don''t know if it is going to really take away from the center, I am starting to have 2nd thoughts! Thank goodness SP''s return policy is good!

I agree with what other's have said. It's a matter of preference. I have a 1.23 solitaire with a 3 pointer eternity band. I went with 3 pointers so the eternity band would be about the same width as my e-ring band and it doesn't distract from the center stone. The good thing is you'll have the ring soon and can see if you like it. If you don't, you can always exchange.
