Thanks for the car ****, Lambo Girl

I will try to post pics of my before and after autos. You did a good deed today! Thanks for the other pics by our PS car "guys"

My husband tells everyone that I'm the "car guy" in the family

Purrfectpear, anything is possible. If no one could afford that car, they wouldn't make it...but clearly, some people can--and do--buy extremely expensive cars, and whose to say LamborghiniGirl isn't one of those people?
I agree 100% you just neva' know.............just my 02 Lira.
Previous posts would indicate that is no more than a dream. Nothing wrong with dreaming but let's not get carried away with over the top bragging shall we? We are who we are, not what we drive IMO. Perhaps LG would like to explain if I'm not being fair
33.gif
This isn't about bragging. It's about being a gear head...a car guy...a person who watches Top Gear because it's fun to see The Stig take the cars around the track. Don't be a buzz kill. This thread was requested of Lambo Girl--by me--because I had to sell my sports car due to an injury. I wanted to see some car **** to cheer me up.

This is my 2006 Honda S2000. Although it was my daily driver, it is often seen on the track and auto cross. It redlines at 8200 rpm and has been a blast to drive. It can also be a difficult car to drive and I am no longer able to handle it. I have a permanent shoulder injury and had to trade it in for another vehicle about two weeks ago. This is the front view...

roadster 1a.jpg

We belonged to an S2000 club and went on rallies, drives and other group activities. It was a limited production car, made in Japan, with only 8000-12,000 sold each year. This car has a cult-like following
9.gif
Side view, with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. We live near Skyline Drive.

roadster 2a.jpg

My new car on the lot. It's a 2007 BMW 328i. Getting the 3 series kept me in the sports car class, even though it's not a roadster. It treats me very well. I can get in and out, which is a plus! I had to go with the automatic transmission because I can no longer use a short throw stick shift. This car does have the Steptronic feature so I can manually shift the car, without throwing my shoulder into pain. I usually just keep it in Sport mode. I really like this car and think it was a good option for me now.

Now that I've added to the car ****, I feel a bit better.

I don't drive a car just to get from one place to another. I drive for the feel of the road, the handling, pushing the limits, the skill. For those of you who understand, then you know what it meant to me give up my roadster. I have a feeling, however, that the BMW will take me on some fine adventures.

You own them when you pay cash
2.gif

otherwise the bank owns them or they''re leased
25.gif

Um...what does that have to do with anything? Lol no one even said anything about owning it, just that it was her current car.

I love BMW''s. I''d love to have one someday, but I will probably always be too cheap to do it lol.
MC said ''would love to own one''. Just pointing out there''s a difference between driving and owning.

I was just having a little giggle at someone who thinks their next car is going to be $354,000.00. Don''t mind me, just go on with the beebee dreams

A little harsh?

It was a lot of fun. Some of the back mountain roads can be quite the challenge

+1 and I have made ourselves carsick on some of the twisties. How sad is that

We'll be taking the new car up for a spin, if it ever stops raining!

Nice car candy!!!! And you did a great job detailing your Beemer Lam, what is your recipe for the paintwork?

Lam... thought of something, I didn''t see an air intake upgrade. Have you done that or thought about it? Think it will make any difference other than sounding mean? :)

I recommend the online magazine "Winding Road" to my fellow car guys [meaning car girls + DF

]. There is much car **** to behold and good articles. I''m not sure the PS guidelines allow me to link to it, but it should be an easy google search. Enjoy!

Oh, a thread after my own heart! Lovely cars everybody!

My DD these days is an 08 R32 with Stage I. For those of you who watch Top Gear, it''s faster around the test track than a 911 Turbo, and only .3 of a second slower than an ''06 STI, which is the engagement gift I gave my husband.
3.gif

But, this was my first love . . . an 81 911SC.

Lovely car, Risingsun!

I completely relate to giving up a Roadster, as my last car was a TT Roadster - Nimbus Grey with Baseball stiched interior. I miss that car tremendously, but at leats the sound of the R32 is a nice enough way to placate myself over my loss.
2.gif

I love cars too, since I don''t drive b/c I live in the city, I don''t pay attention about cars anymore. But after seen the pics, I can see that I still love them. I''m not a sport car kind, I like lexus or mercedes better
10.gif

Here''s my mid life crisis, ''06. I took delivery at the factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky and drove it home to Texas.
This car takes 10 yrs off me when I drive it.

Hubby has a red ''07 like mine.
We both have loved cars since we were young. DH has had modified Firebirds and Camaros for years. You could hear him coming
for miles! He''s now trying to convince me he needs to sell his and order another Vette.

Love looking at everyone''s cars. There is life beyond bling!

This is awesome!!! Never knew that there were car enthusiasts on this board

I need to post my car up when I get home since I dont have pics on this computer.

Keep on posting ladies, loving the car pics!!!!
