Can''t Pick a Chunky Cushion

I like the shape of the left one better. But the one on the right is gorgeous!! If the right one had the shape of the left one, no question for me - hands down right one. I would pay the extra $1000 for the right one if the shape was like the left one.

Of course, he won''t hold it that long. I just had no idea how long to keep it open so I figured a month is plenty long.

I plan on making a choice in a day or two.

Number 2 is definitely out-performing number 1 now that it''s been tweaked. However, both are very beautiful cushions. It''s not like you are comparing a dawg to a really nice stone, they are both beautiful and I do think that price and other preferences should count some.

Diamond #2 for scint. fire and a more rectangular shape. HTH

ETA: #2 looks more rectangular to me which I like. Maybe you don't like that so it would be a negative for you.

If you have the extra $1000 in your budget, I''d go for stone #2

as it clearly out performed the other stone in all lighting. Both are very pretty but stone #2 was prettier to me.

However, it''s only .05 extra point, but 2 clarity grades lower and it''s 1k more?? i don''t understand how the price was set. This is where, dare i say the word "bargain." lol

The cost is based on what he originally purchased it for plus a standard markup therefore GOG apparently got a very good deal on the 1.03 G VVS2 stone.

Weird. Maybe the VVS is discounted due to the strong fluoro..

Either way, if I didn''t know that the the cheaper one was a VVS2, I''d say go for the VS2 as it does look better in the video. But......... the logical side of my brain says "it''s two grades lower but 1k more!!"

But again, on the other hand, the right one does look better. Tough choice.

This is indeed the argument swirling around in my head. Yes, I can handle the the additional $1000 but my frugal side questions whether it is worth it for something 2 clarity grades lower, just a smidge larger yet 1k more.

#2 is AMAZING! I''m in the market for a cushion as well and I think the extra $1k is worth it. The one on the right faces up larger and will have a greater presence than the one on the left. GO FOR IT!

They''re both beautiful, but #2...WOW. Can I get my cushion tweaked??? I wish that spotlighting could follow my ring everywhere. haha.

I think #2 is so sparkly, but even #1 sparkled a lot. I think #1 more of a squre than #2. I''d go with #1 if it had as much sparkle and fire as #2!
