I have been looking at engagement rings with the BF and cannot decide what I want.

Here is what I do know that I want:
-Round Solitaire
-Pave band

Here is my dilemma:
-I love the look of a halo, however it seems difficult to find settings that are not bezel. I''m not sure I like the bezel setting. I THINK I like the prong setting because it puts a little more emphasis on the actual center diamond

-I do like the look of just a simple round solitaire and pave band, however I feel like that is so common and I do want a ring with a little something else, a little different

Any thoughts?!? I feel like I am thinking about this way too much. I know I will like whatever I get, I just don''t want to wish I had something different when I get it! Ah, isn''t that horrible?

i like the solitaire. you can always mix and match bands to change it up but with a halo, that''s it. i think you should go with what you know you love and not hope that you will like something else.

best of luck!

I know they make halos with prongs for the center stone. I''m not sure who does it...Maybe check Leon''s site or Ritani?

Try Eli Jewels or Christopher Designs. They both have pave with prong settings.. good luck!

I do agree that in the long run a solitaire is safer and allows you the option to change wedding and anniversary bands.

Knox has a few...

This one appears to be prong set, but it's hard to tell.

This is prong set, but I'm not a big fan of it.

Same thing with this one.

Here's a pretty nice split shank.

This one has a double row of pave...not bad.

They also have some nice settings for a princess stone...split shank, double row pave, classic pave halo, art deco...(edit: but I just read that you want a round stone, so feel free to ignore these)
