Canadian Thanksgiving

OK I'll start. I've ordered my ham from a local farm (via butcher) and will make cabbage rolls (with savoy cabbage and basmati rice), scalloped potatoes, sweet potato, zucchini casserole, and get some yummy dessert from a favorite french bakery. And champagne. And maybe coconut shrimp to start.

My mom always cooks so we will be having roast turkey, brussel sprouts, corn, sauteed peas, mashed potatoes, sweet mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and lots of gravy. For dessert, my sister will be back from Paris and I'm pretty sure she's bringing back some goodies from Ladurée.

But in Canada, Thanksgiving comes BEFORE Halloween!

We are invited to two different dinners, both are having turkey, one tomorrow, and the other on Monday. We shall enjoy the company, food, and be carefree about the concept of how to use the endless leftovers!
