Hi,

I have ordered from White Flash a ring that is scheduled to deliver last week, but has since been stuck at "Clearance delay" stage according to FedEx website tracking system for 2 days already. Has any of you experienced your order being delayed like this and for how long eventually did it get in your hands? Is there even anything I could do at this point? Definitely frustrating...

Thanks

Call FedEX - I thought you needed to sign and fax to them a form authorizing them to act as your broker for higher value items like this.

Found it - I presume you''ve faxed this form:

Yes I have already signed and faxed those documentations on the same night when FedEx received shipping notification from WhiteFlash, and they have confirmed that they''ve got all the documentations in.

I have phoned FedEx and they just said "It''s been held onto by the Custom at the moment so there''s nothing anybody can do until they (the custom) decide to release the package." My question is, do they normally just "hold onto" those for an indifinite period of time and there''s really nothing we can do to at least track down what''s going on? My package isn''t even extremely high-price range in comparison (around 2k).

Thanks.

We''ve had packages held by Canadian Customs, it happens all the time... No big deal, other than the fact that it makes you wait for your new puppy! Ugh, and that is definitely a drag! But anyway, just wanted to confirm that it is not uncommon.

Thanks,
I was curious about this too!

Oloubo - I''m sure you''re about ready to burst at this point.

Are you on a deadline?

I had the exact same problem (so annoying) I phoned Fedex to see what the holdup was but didn''t really get a satisfactory explaination IMO

I also had to give my credit card number to Fedex for the gst & pst plus a $10 handling/paperwork fee before it was transferred to the delivery truck. I again had to contact Fedex because they hadn''t sent me receipt for the monies I paid ! Get in contact with Fedex and see what they say.

Phoned FedEx and the manager said their attempt to contact Canadian Custom received no response either, so it''s very unlikely it would be delivered by tonight. Very frustrated with this whole delaying process of something so important, without given specific reason of why the long hold.

On top of all these I am still going to be charged $10 of FedEx Custom Cleareance fee by the time I eventually receive my package (which their representative never mentioned there''s going to be a fee for this when she emailed me all the forms to fill out)...?

That was what Fedex charged me for their brokerage (paperwork/handling) fee, I wasn''t happy either. They put you in a position of having no choice unfortunately. I was told (don''t know if this is true in every case in Canada) that if an item was more than $1500 Cad then they automatically ask for payment before delivery. I was expecting to pay all monies on delivery, not over the phone ! All my jewellery packages recieved in the past have had the taxes paid on delivery, but I guess it depends on the $ value.
