DH is extremely fussy about his clothes. He only likes a certain shade for his trousers, and only a very slim cut, and given he''s got a slim waist and a 36" inseam, it ain''t easy to find them. He also wears his stuff VERY hard, and always comes home covered in stains.

Soooo, I finally found some nice trousers that fit him, and that he likes, but I''m worried he''s going to wreck them ASAP. Can I spray scotchguard on them? I just thought of this, but I don''t know if it''s just for, y''know, furniture and carpets. Would you have to respray every time you wash?

Anyone have any other ideas?

Yup scothgarding only lasts until you wash it so you would have to respray each time, also it won''t 100% protect against stains what it does it provides the barrier that allows you a chance to see the stain before it settles.

I would just buy him 3-4 pairs of the same trousers :) otherwise nappysan works really well for stains I find :)

Hey, what''s ''nappysan''? Teach me!

Nappysan and all it''s varients is actually a nappy cleaner/soaker it kind of works like bleach but you can use it for colours as well but on whites it does not turn them yellow like bleach. It is really good gets out most stuff :). I soak stuff overnight usually and then chuck it in the wash :).

This the link to their website :) http://www.napisan.co.nz/index.shtml

I did find this link in my search for nappysan how effective these tips are I don''t know but they might work :)Queen of Clean cleaning tips :)

Cool! Thanks!

I don''t know what kind of staining he''s most prone to, but in my house, it seems most stains are oil/grease stains from food.

With washables, we simply pre-treat the stains with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Lifts/cut the grease and stain goes away during wash.
