Can you replace this peg head?

I love my engagement ring setting (and I have a matching wedding band) except for the peg head. I wish I had spent more time looking for something more elegant - I purchased this as a reset years ago. I need to take it in to get the prongs fixed as there are two that seem bent/askew.

So this got me thinking as to whether the head on this type of ring can be replaced with something prettier and less utilitarian. Is that possible and if yes any idea on the ballpark to do so with just a new platinum head (no diamonds)?

Is the head attached only at that point at the bottom? Or are the prongs also attached up the shoulder? Hard to tell from the pics.

Honestly it's a bit hard to tell for me as well. I reached out to David Klass and he said that he can replace it. I just shipped it out to him today and asked him to do the quintessential Tiffany style prongs. He quoted me $550 to do that in platinum. Looking forward to seeing the results.
