Hi all,
Can you help me choose between these 2 diamonds? I am attaching the 2 certs....

Thks!

Morever,
I am debating between getting one of this diamond vs 3 stone diamonds (1 karat center, and 1/2 sides).
For ladies, would you like to get 1.8k H color, VS2 or 3 stone diamonds with F color, VS2 better?

O yah...this ring is not for engagement ring (been married for 5 years).

Thks alot....

O yah...from worse to better, how do you rate inclusion such as Feather, Pinpoint, cloud and etc....

Thank you!!!

I'd rather have a 1.8ct H VS2/SI1 stone with a blingy setting (some pave or something with small flash in the setting).

Both look nice. Have you seen them in person? Do you have idealscope pictures? What is the price difference?

Chrono,
Thank you!!

I agree--I''d rather have the larger solitaire than the 3 stone.

I havent see them in person, only certificate available to me. I checked with the seller and they dont have picture for the GIA certificate one. I ran both of them through HCA, and they are excellent diamond. The only difference are: inclusions (AGS has a lot more on the sides),polish and symetry. Price is almost the same if pay via credit card.

I notice the AGS cert doesnt have date. This is the only cert right? The newer version should have date...should I worry?
And, should i worry about the feather around the diamond on the AGS?

Given the same pricing, I''d take the AGS stone in a heartbeat. A VS2 is usually eyeclean no matter the plot - call the vendor to clarify this. I''m not too worried about the feather - just double check with the vendor that it does not break the surface. As for the date of the report, I would not be too concerned either.

Ok..1 vote for AGS....

bump...up.

What size is her engagement ring diamond? If it is smaller and she can reset that stone into a pendant (or something), then of course I''d go for the 1.8 ct. stone over 3 smaller stones! But I wouldn''t want a solitaire diamond for a right hand ring. I got a larger diamond for our anniversary and I wear it as my e-ring.

I have decided to get the 1.8k ring.
Can anyone tell me if i should go with the GIA diamond or the AGS diamond?

Thks!

without having seen either, it''s AGS 0 vs GIA vg/vg...

Here is the picture of the AGS....
Worth of buying?
Is it too much for 15k?
