No way to tell from the numbers because it is a fancy cut. Need an ASET image at least.

Thanks.

This is GIA certified. Is there a way to get the ASET image online?

You would need to ask the vendor, besides ASET detailed photographs are just as important. Hearts are hard, although the numbers don't tell the whole story, this one has a shallow depth and large table. See if the vendor can supply some images. I take it you prefer D IF for your colour and clarity?

I ll try to get some ASET images. For now I have a picture of it.

Many thanks

I do prefer D IF (unless there is a reason other than reduced size that I shouldn''t).

How would having a shallow depth and large table affect it value?

Having these numbers, how much could it''s price range? Is there a "safe" range (e.g. 2000 - 5000) just by these numbers?

Thanks for the photo!

Concerning value, if you mean from an investment point of view, it is usual to only get back 30 - 50% of what you paid for the most popular shape, round brilliants, a shape like a heart could command even less unfortunately. The shallow depth and large table could indicate a low crown height, thus the diamond might not show much in the way of fire or coloured light but this is a general rule. The cut quality of hearts is very tricky to pin down, the diamonds are often cut in such a way to get the best shape and heaviest diamond from the rough but not necessarily with top performance in mind. So it is very difficult to advise on a particular diamond without an ASET image and its hard to tell anything from that type of photo unfortunately other than it looks like a commercial cut quality heart. Will you be seeing the heart in person?

Unfortunately I am not going to see the diamond before I buy it, (but will buy it and see it most probably).
I am aware that brilliants are the investors choice which is probably why I can''t find a lot or heart shaped diamonds especially in D IF quality.
Thanks for all the insights... I guess it will come down to chance whether this is a good choice/price or not 8-)

Also if you really prefer D IF then that is going to be really limiting if you want a heart shape, also D IF are normally cut for max weight retention due to the rarity of the colour and clarity being very desirable, the cut quality is not a main selling point. Make sure you have a good return policy should you order it so if it doesn't look great when you get it, you can return it.

Thanks again for your help

You are very welcome, let us know what happens!

Can you try to get more pictures? To me, that picture does not look very flattering but I think it has more to do with
the way the picture was taken (and hopefully less to do about the stone).

Is this for your GF? Is it for an engagement ring? Did you GF show interest in a heart shape diamond? Just curious. Fill
free to ignore these questions.
