Can you help me identify this diamond shape and size?

I love this ring I saw on the web, but I cannot tell what the diamond shape is or the size. I think its a chanel setting but that's about all I know about it. can anyone take a guess as to the diamond shape and the size of the diamond?

It is kind of hard to tell since we can not see the facet pattern, but if I had to venture a guess I would say a princess or radiant? From the angle I am having a hard time telling if it is perfectly square. But that would be my opinion. As for size I would guess 2.5 to three carats.

If you like this look I would say look at both princess and radiants and see which facet pattern you like. You could also venture in to cushions they can come in soft square shape as well, though thier tables are more pillowy than flat.

I was going to guess an emerald cut on a pave or bead set band. Size is heard to tell from pictures as finger size, angle of the camera, zoom, etc can affect the wasy a stone looks in terms of size. My guess is if she is a size 5 finger- about 2 carats..... if a bigger finger then I would say bigger than 2.0- if her finger is more like a size 3 then it could be 1.25-1.5 carats.

I think a squareish emerald cut.....on a bead set-band? It looks classic and pretty.

My 8x6 1.5 carat emerald takes up about this much "real estate" on my size 4.5 finger, but then, emeralds can vary quite a bit in their face-up size.

All available market data (including that of Pricescope) shows cushions to be as popular as, if not more popular than, princess cut. Definitely depends on locale (South Jersey is Princess, North Jersey is Cushion), but they enjoy similar popularity.
