I''m in the process of trying to upgrade my current diamond ering. I have a .76 F SI1 that I love but I really want something bigger. I wanted to do the upgrade through my jewelry store that we orginally purchased the dimaond through because they have a 100% upgrade policy where 100% of my orginail purchase will go towards my new stone...which would have been great but all the stones they are sending me appear to be pretty crappy so now I''m willing to look else where.

My budget is 10k. I would like something that is colorless or near colorless. I would also like it to be a RB. Finally I would just like the stone to be eye clean. I plan on setting it into a halo setting if that also matters. Since I have a .76 ct I would like to upgrade to over a 1.5 ctw if possible.

Please help me find something as I''m getting extremely frustrated! Thank you so much in advance!

Thanks Ira- I actually contacted Jason at WhiteFlash to see what they had available. I''m worried that an "I" might look very different from my current "F." This is my only issue with purchasing online.

Does anyone else see any other options?

Nice find!

What sort of cut is your F? Better cuts show less color.

Mine is a RB cut. and since my setting is for rounds i want to stick with that cut...i hope that answers your question.

I meant what is the quality of the stone's cut? The Ideal and Excellent cuts typically show color less than Very Good, Good or Poor cuts.

Just something to consider when looking at beautifully cut stones. You can go down in color.

However, if you are only comfortable with higher colors you could go down in size. 1.24ct F VS1

I''m sorry Swingirl...I believe my current diamond is excellent cut.

2 interesting ones from JA. Check if eye-clean and request an Idealscope image from them if interested.

I would particularly like to see an IS for this one, could be a great diamond if it checks out.

If you have an F now and like your diamonds that white, do not go below a good high H. F to H is a pretty big difference. I color will show tint from the side but may be okay face up if it has some blue fluor. imo, J would be much too dark if you like colorless.
