For religious reasons, my bridesmaid will need to cover her shoulders (not a shawl), and I thought a black bolero would work well. Can you please help me find an affordable, nice-looking black bolero? I appreciate your help!
...sourced with Starset''s super-shopping-sleuthing!!!
The thread is in this forum Misysu2 - "dress up Delster" - and the bolero was purrrrfect for my dress. It''s heavy too, exactly what was needed for the blustery January weather in Ireland. And soooo soft. The fabric feels just like brushed cotton. So snuggly!
I wonder is it what you have in mind though? It''s almost more of a jacket and I''m not sure if it''d suit a bridesmaid''s dress. When is the wedding?
Oh and the bolero cost me £25 in a 50% off sale, so not exactly budget price range.
Your bolero is very nice, but I"m looking for something that doesn''t button in front and is a lighter material. Our wedding is in May, and the weather will average 75-80 F.
Yes, I figured mine would be too heavy. Sadly I''m not much help to you as my shopping-sleuthing skills are limited to Irish and UK vendors but I''m sure someone else will chime in. Maybe if you post a pic of the bridesmaid''s dress and an approximate budget that would help people?
The bolero you posted is really lovely. Have you seen it in person?
BTW - I can''t resist saying that I''m scratching my head wondering how that girl''s, em, girls seem to stay up with no support whatsoever! Now if I could only figure out that trick...
Well, my BM thought my dress options for her were too revealing in the neckline, so I told her she could pick out whatever she wanted, as long as it's teal and tea-length. We're going Dessy Group here. http://www.dessy.com/bridesmaid-dresses/
I assume she'll settle for a scoopneck.
Getting nervous because our wedding is 3 months, 1 week, and she hasn't found an option yet! I hope this bolero thing works out...
BTW-- i think that lady's chest is taped up. remember that we don't see her moving....
