Can you educate me which ring goes on which finger and hand?

I come from a culture where rings don't mean much but am right now in US and trying yo figure out which ring goes where? I understand the engagement ring is a big deal and goes on left hand ring finger but not sure of others. Like eternity band? 3 stone ring, 5 stone ring, colored rings, wedding bands? Does it really matter which ring is on which finger, I don't want to be laughed at for wearing the wrong ring on wrong finger. Ty

In the US, tradition is the wedding band on the left ring finger, followed by engagement ring on the same finger but further away from the arm. Other than that, there aren't any real conventions except for wear what you like

What pandabee said and a lot of people I know wear their band on right ring finger, some even on their middle finger. with other rings you can stack em on or wear in any other fingers you like.
