Can this ring be sized?

I really want to purchase this ring for my husband but it is no longer being made by the manufacturer (Hearts on Fire). I have found the ring but it's a 9.5 and I need it resized to an 8. Hearts on Fire says it cannot be sized but they can make it for me. I don't want it made for triple the price that I have found it for. I might just get a similar ring made but it would be much cheaper if I could get this one sized. What do you think, can it be resized? I don't want to buy it and be out a lot of money if I can't get it sized.

Almost anything can be done for a price, but it almost ruined my original wedding band that had diamonds set in the band when I had it resized. I just wouldn't even consider it since HoF said no. If it was half a size off, I'd just have sizing beads put in. But a size and a half would not be worth the risk to me. I'd rather pay more and have it done right. Or wait and find another bargain that is the right size. Very nice ring, though!

I'm thinking that too. I'm too afraid to buy this ring online and be stuck with a ring he can't wear or lose a diamond in a few months. I just thought that I would check here because I have shown the picture to 2 jewellers who have said they can resize it and 2 have said no. I haven't bought it because HoF said no. I guess I'll get a similar ring made. It just would have been nice to save the $1000 price difference ($3000 if I special order it from HoF).

That would not be a difficult ring to hire someone to make. Indeed, that might be the reason that HoF discontinued it.
